LAS VEGAS – (December 6, 2009) – Allure Pole & Fitness Studio, Instructors Nicole Williams and Mina Mortezaie participated in the Vertical Pole Challenge this past Saturday in Las Vegas.

The Vertical Pole Challenge is a sexy, fun, hip, and entertaining reality-themed show pitting the sexiest women, against one another for bragging rights, prizes, and the sexiest pole dancing skills on display to audiences nationwide. Amazing athletic skills from housewives to aerobics instructors, college students to attorneys, women from all walks of life are embracing pole dancing for fitness.

Just two years ago, Williams a personal trainer with nearly a decade of experience, became bored with her traditional exercise regimen. She had heard about the benefits of pole dancing, so she bought a pole and watched YouTube videos for instruction. Within months she taught herself how to pole-dance and love the versatility of it. “I have never experienced a workout that was so intensifying and exciting”, said Williams.  Pole-dancing came very natural for her due to her being an all around athlete.  Nicole firmly believes that pole-dancing allowed her to connect with her inner self, and desperately wanted to share her new found love with others… and thus conception of Allure began.

While hundreds of women auditioned for the competition, but only 25 were selected to perform. Contestants were judged on several categories: strength, flexibility, horizontal maneuvers, vertical maneuvers, transitions, sensuality, foot positioning, appearance, originality, and spins.

The top three semi-finalists will win cash prizes: First Place – $2,500; Second Place – $1,500; and Third Place; $1,000. All three finalists will have the chance to advance to the final competition/episode to win over $25,000. The grand prize winner will also win commercial opportunities, media exposure, and all of the perks that comes with being the Vertical Pole Challenge winner.

No stranger to the limelight, William’s has also been featured on numerous Radio & TV shows, including the new seasons of Vh1’s Rock of Love Bad Girls Club and For the Love of Ray J, showcasing the art of pole dance.  Despite her newest love for teaching pole dance, Nicole continues to raise the bar by competing and performing at special event sin Hollywood. Just recently she placed 4th in a California Pole Dancing Competition.

Nicole Williams has been a personal trainer for nearly a decade and considers herself to be an all around athlete.  Bored with the traditional workout regiment, Williams came across pole dancing YouTube videos and immediately feel in love with the art form. “I no longer have to go to the gym, I haven’t touched a dumbbell since 2007 and my body looks better than when I was lifting weights.
